How to Fit More Songs on iPad?
Do you have a large music collection but are limited by the size of hard drive that your iPad can support? Have you filled up your iPad and wish you had more space on it? Well now you can fit more songs on iPad with just a few easy steps.
Previous to iTunes 9.1, all users with iPod or iPad were given the option to downsize music files to 128 kbps during sync to save storage space and add more music. The following step-by-step tutorial will teach you how to fit more music on iPad.
Guide: How to Fit More Songs on iPad
Step 1: Connect the iPad to the computer via USB.
Step 2: Click on the iPad icon under Devices to bring up the Settings page.
Step 3: Scroll down to Options, and click "Convert higher bitrate songs to 128 kbps AAC".

OK! Now you can fit more songs on your iPad. Just enjoy!
Note: When you choose this option, syncing takes much longer so that iTunes can convert first, then send the track to the device. If you want to sync songs at their normal bitrate, even if you've already synced at the converted 128 kbps, uncheck this option and sync again.
